As a telephone equipment vendor for various telephone equipment providers, we’d like to review some of the various products available and discuss their value to our clients. This article will be dedicated to the ESI VIP (Visually Integrated Phone).

ESI (Estech Systems, Inc.) is a a privately held corporation based in Plano, Texas, and has shipped over 200,000 systems. They design, manufacture and market advanced, highly featured business communications systems.

ESI VIP (Visually Integrated Phone)

The VIP (Visually Integrated Phone) combines the ESI phone system with Microsoft Outlook to track communication in your day-to-day activities through your computer — including the ability to control calls and organize voice mail and contacts on their computer. A VIP user can take and make calls, manage voice mail and contacts, track call history, and program his ESI phone, all on the PC screen

The ESI VIP comes in two “flavors”: the basic VIP and VIP Professional.

Basic VIP

  • Manage your telephone calls
  • Manage your voice mail
  • Organize your contacts
  • Log all your inbound and outbound calls
  • Quickly program your ESI Feature Phone

VIP Professional includes Basic Options Plus:

  • Enhanced, more informative user interface
  • Secure text-messaging
  • Auto-recording capability
  • Compatibility with ESI PC Attendant Console

The ESI VIP is easy to implement for most telephone equipment service professionals. It connects to your existing local area network (LAN) and is non-invasive. There’s no need to upgrade the LAN or install Microsoft Exchange, which avoids a costly and impractical solution for the small to mid-size business. However, VIP requires Microsoft Outlook 2000, 2002, or 2003.

If you have any questions about about the ESI VIP, is it right for your business, costs, etc., feel free to ask.
